Black Adam’s Ending Explained

Black Adam has been approaching the DC Extended Universe for some time now, but finally, Dwayne Johnson’s anti-hero has been released onto our big screen.

Johnson has continually promised that director Jaume Collet-Serra’s film would change the hierarchy of DC power, and now the world has gotten to see if it is true.

This is why we are about to dive deep into the ending of Black Adam and see if the hierarchy of power has truly changed.

Not to mention, there is plenty of stuff to discuss in reference to the future of the D C E U; outside of Black Adam’s very dismal critical response.

So if you are looking to avoid spoilers, consider this as a warning from the Man in Black himself.

What Happened At The End Of Black Adam?

After struggling with adjusting to the modern world of Kahndaq and its people, Teth Adam, played by Dwayne Johnson, defeats the demon Sabaac and his horde of undead soldiers.

Smashing the throne, Black Adam shows that while he will protect Kahndaq, he won’t rule it like the kings of old.

Smirking to the camera in the final moments, our new hero accepts the titular name as a much-needed update.

About That Black Adam Mid Credits Scene?

Black Adam has just one extra scene, which comes about halfway through the end credits.

The sequence finds Black Adam still brooding in Kahndaq, where he is greeted by a drone sent by Amanda Waller, played by Viola Davis.

Amanda Waller is not thrilled with how things have developed and decides to visit the antihero.

Through a hologram, of course, because Amanda Waller is smarter than putting herself within reach of Black Adam.

Amanda Waller tells Black Adam that Kahndaq is to become his new prison, and if he ever leaves its borders, she will send someone to take him down.

Amanda Waller is the one who sent the Justice Society Of America to capture Black Adam in the first place, but here, she tells her former target that he is no longer in danger.

She promises that she won’t interfere in his business anymore, provided that he remains within the borders of Kahndaq.

Adam reminds her that he is basically unstoppable and he is afraid of no one especially since he is spent the last two hours beating up the Justice Society Of America members she sent to capture him.

He tells her that no one on the planet can compete with him, and she responded that, fortunately, she has connections with friends who aren’t from this planet.

Adam smile, Black Adam mocks Waller before destroying her drone.

With their conversation now finished, another superpowered, flying entity suddenly descends and lands near Black Adam.

Initially, the dust generated by his arrival obscures the identity of this newcomer,

though it becomes quickly apparent Superman played by our very own Man Of Steel Henry Cavill.

Superman told Black Adam It’s been a while since anyone’s made the world this nervous and stated “We should talk.”

Black Adam marks Henry Cavill’s first time in the Superman suit since 2017’s Justice League although he did return to reshoot footage for Zack Snyder’s 2021 rerelease.

It’s also one of the worst-kept secrets in Hollywood: Earlier this month, Johnson himself spoke about Henry Cavill’s return in Black Adam, telling the actor, “Welcome home” to the DC universe.
